The Impressive Dish Network Satellite Fleet

Echostar VII
This first satellite from the 21st century was launched on February 21st, 2002. It is a Lockheed Martin A2100AX spacecraft, launched from Cape Canaveral, which can be found at the 119° W orbital slot.

Echostar VIII
Only 6 months apart from its predecessor, on August the 21st 2002, the Space Systems/Loral FS-1300 satellite Echostar VIII is launched from Baikonur. It has a weight of approximately 4700 kg and it is parked at 110° W. It provides digital tv to North American subscribers.

Echostar IX
Also known as Telstar 13, this Space Systems/Loral FS-1300 satellite was launched on august 7th 2003 from the sea platform in the equatorial Pacific Ocean. Parked at 121° W, this 4700 kg satellite carries 24 C-band, providing North American subscribers with high definition television.

Echostar X
This Lockheed Martin A2100AX satellite was launched on February 15th, 2006 from the floating sea platform in the Pacific Ocean. The 4300 kg satellite is found at 110° W and provides North American subscribers with direct to home video, audio and Internet services.

Echostar XII
Better known as Rainbow 1, the 4300 kg satellite was launched from Cape Canaveral on July 17th, 2003. It is a Lockheed-Martin AS-2100 satellite, parked at 61.5° W.

AMC-15
This 4050 Lockheed-Martin AS-2100 satellite was launched on October 14th, 2004 from Baikonur. Parked at 105 °W, it provides North American subscribers with direct to home voice, video and Internet services.

Anik F3
This Astrium Eurostar 3000 satellite was launched on April 12th, 2007 and parked at 119 deg-W. It has a weight of approximately 4600 kg and it was launched from Baikonur.

Echostar XI
This satellite is yet to be launched in 2007. It will be launched from the sea platform and the satellite will be built by Space Systems/Loral. It will probably be launched sometime in December 2007, when the Dish Network satellite fleet will welcome one more new member.
